Eirinn’s Spirit is a tall and beautifully refined colt, who is the perfect example of Shakespeare’s words: “He trots the air; the earth sings when he touches it”. His effortless, ground-covering movement and commanding presence are true reflections of his spectacular heritage. Eirinn’s Spirit is out of one of Glen Eirinn Arabian Stud’s most successful mares, Joda Alana, a mare who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in the breeding barn. Eirinn’s Spirit is the half brother to NZ Reserve Champion Mare, WA State Champion Colt and many other show winners. Eirinn’s Spirit’s sire is Baarafic, 2x Pan Pacific Supreme Champion Colt, whose own heritage is as splendid as American breeding has produced. Baarafic is by one of the great Imperial Stud’s most successful stallions, Imperial Baarez, who was awarded Reserve World Champion at the Salon Du Cheval and also has competed successfully in dressage. Imperial Baarez’s pedigree is rich with show winners both in hand and under saddle across various disciplines, including harness to Western Pleasure and English Pleasure.

Baarafic’s dam, Azaamah, is also richly adorned with show winners throughout her pedigree and the dam of champion progeny on three continents. Her sire was Patrick Swayze’s cherished and prize winning stallion,Tammen, whose accolades included championships in English Pleasure, Native Costume and Halter. Tammen’s grandsire on his mothers side was Talal, who won 6 races and placed in 11 in Egypt. Talal then went onto become Scottsdale Reserve Champion Stallion and sired the successful race winner and show horse ,The Puritan. No doubt Eirinn’s Spirit is gifted with his ground covering movement because of such a pedigree. Azaamah’s own dam was by Ibn Morafic, who not only earned US and Canadian Top Tens in Western Pleasure but who sired Amin, who was awarded the Legion of Supreme Honour and ranked seventh in the Arabian Horse World’s Top Reining Horses (1995-2004), after receiving 9 National Top Tens and 1 Reserve National Championship as a Working Cow Horse.

Eirinn’s Spirit’s dam is the champion producing mare, Joda Alana, who has four lines to the legendary Shaikh Al Badi, who in 1998 was declared World Sire of Significance for being the second-highest living sire of halter champions at the U.S Egyptian Event, with 69 champion get. Joda Alana also carries lines to Ibn Moniet El Nefous and the extremely regal and elegant, Thee Egyptian Prince, who in the late 1970’s was purchased sight unseen for $550,000.00. Joda Alana’s great grandsire is the legendary Thee Desperado, who was named Overall Leading Sire of the U.S Egyptian Event for 11 years in a row (1996-2006) and in the 2009 World Championships at the Salon Du Cheval, two of his grand sons were named World Champion and Reserve World Champion Stallions!
